Courtney Boyer: The Voice Behind “Opened”

The launch of “Opened” from Courtney Boyer

We’re incredibly proud to represent relationship coach, author, and educator Courtney Boyer, M.Ed., M.S., and to support the launch of her powerful new memoir, “Opened”, released on February 18. At Little Leaf Agency, we’re passionate about amplifying expert voices that challenge stigma, encourage honest conversations about intimacy and identity, and help people build more fulfilling relationships. Courtney’s work embodies all of that and more.

Author and coach Courtney is a respected thought leader dedicated to helping women reclaim their power, pleasure, and emotional sovereignty. Known for her candid yet compassionate approach, Courtney creates space for nuanced conversations around relationships, sexuality, self-worth, and personal growth. Her insights have been featured live on BBC Radio and in major outlets including The New York Post, Parents, CNBC, The Huffington Post, and Cosmopolitan. Through both her coaching work and her writing, Courtney creates a bridge between academic insight and lived experience, culminating in informative content that’s relatable and accessible.

A defining element of Courtney’s work is how openly she shares her own journey, as her work is deeply rooted in her own lived experience. After growing up within purity culture and patriarchal religious systems,  she spent years navigating expectations around gender, marriage, sexuality, and identity that ultimately felt misaligned with her authentic self.

Courtney’s brave story

Courtney began the courageous process of deconstructing the inherited beliefs that once shaped her identity. Today, with the launch of the book, she supports women who are ready to untangle shame, challenge conditioning, and build lives and relationships rooted in authenticity and truth.

Courtney Boyer is also a polyamorous mother of three who is happily married to a monogamous partner, a dynamic that informs much of her nuanced, real-world perspective on modern relationships. Following the success of her book “Not Tonight, Honey”, Courtney is expecting an incredible response to her highly anticipated 2026 memoir, “Opened: From Purity Culture to Polyamory.” The book is an intimate, unfiltered look at what happens when a woman raised to be agreeable, self-sacrificing, and “good” finally asks herself one transformative question:

“What would happen if I finally told myself the truth?”

What “Opened” Will Explore

“Opened” is not a how-to guide for non-monogamy; it’s a deeply human story about identity, awakening, and the courage to choose yourself. Across the memoir, Courtney shares:

  • Growing up immersed in purity culture and patriarchal messaging
  • The pressure and emotional toll of being the “perfect Christian wife”
  • A marriage strained by emotional distance, sexual rejection, and the invisible mental load
  • The destabilizing (and liberating) process of spiritual deconstruction
  • The pivotal question: What if we opened the marriage?
  • Her unexpected discovery of being polyamorous
  • A psychedelic experience that cracked open her inner world
The grief, love, and freedom that followed choosing herself

At its core, “Opened” is about unbecoming who you were told to be and becoming who you actually are.
